Tap Yourself Out of Pain in 2014

1/2/2014

In spite of a sprained ankle, I danced my way through December thanks to a friend who found us tickets for, "Tappin' through Life" with Maurice Hines (video sample below). Seeing one of the all time tapping greats and some new outstanding tapping brothers transported us out of DC and into the dancing equivalent of an aurora borealis.

Little did I know that "Tappin through Life" would have a second and possibly even more important meaning throughout the holiday season.

"Tapping"also refers to an increasingly popular method of pain relief (both emotional and physical). I have used it repeatedly for my sprained ankle and it has worked far better than Advil. I wanted to share and promote this technique. Anyone suffering from chronic pain knows how difficult it is to focus on New Year's Resolutions, work, the needs of others, or even what to eat for dinner. Chronic pain is not only uncomfortable, it seems to sap your personality.

Ok, enough about the pain...here's information about a solution, or at the very least, a tool for pain management. No negative side effects and it's free.

The video below explains how to do it. You can find many free scripts available online. Would love to hear how it works for you. It's being used with the families who lost children in Newtown, CT and helps with everything from dental pain to procrastination. Just know that while you will very likely experience a dramatic decrease in physical pain, you may start to feel the emotional waves under the pain.  Eager to hear your experiences so please comment.
